PROPOSED RECOMMENDATION

To award a construction contract to Walter Thompson Ltd at a value of £4,157,539.24 for drainage, heating and associated planned maintenance works at Welburn Hall School.

BACKGROUND TO SUPPORT THE RECOMMENDATION

The scheme forms part of the CYPS Condition Programme.

A competitiveprocurement exercise was be undertaken between October 2023 and March 2024.  The scheme is programmed to commence on site in August 2024 and is due to complete June 2025.

LEGAL AND GOVERNANCE COMPLIANCE

The procurement exercise was undertaken in accordance with the Council’s Procurement and Contract Procedure Rules and the Public Contracts Regulations 2015

RECOMMENDATION

To note that a construction contract was awarded to Walter Thompson Ltd.
